Chicago Women's Alliance: "The Madwoman in the Volvo" at the Pasadena Playhouse

Enjoy a performance outing with the CWA in Los Angeles

Join the Chicago Women's Alliance in Los Angeles for a perfomance of The Madwoman in the Volvo: My Year of Raging Hormones:

"Three middle-aged woman celebrate a 50th birthday by going to Burning Man. This extraordinary trip unleashes a world of change. Join Sandra Tsing Loh, two friends and a host of other characters, played by Caroline Aaron (best known for her roles in Edward Scissor Hands; Cellular; and 21 Jump Street) and Shannon Holt (best known for her roles in Bob Roberts; Elsewhere; and Love Liza) on this comedic romp through mid-life madness.
In the throes of her own life changes, Loh wrote an essay for the Atlantic Monthly, which later became the basis for her memoir, The Madwoman in the Volvo: My Year of Raging Hormones. As a self-identified member of the “Triple M Generation—menopausal, middle-aged and a mother,” Loh reminds us that we’re only human. And while she tries to lean in and have it all as a strong, accomplished, single mother, achieving happiness is a day-to-day, realistic goal."

Visit the Pasadena Playhouse website for directions and information on nearby parking. Your ticket covers a great seat at a group discounted price and the conversation with Sandra Tsing Loh after the show. You will pick up your ticket in your own name at Will Call at the Pasadena Playhouse. After the show and conversation, we can gather at red white + bluezz next door for no-host drinks and/or dinner for those interested.

Run time: 90 minutes, no intermission
