Connect with fellow alumnae over a variety of topics at CWA's annual round-table dinner.  Each table will have its own discussion topic.  As part of our tenth anniversary celebration, we are proud to showcase discussions led by distinguished alumna.  Preview our intriguing topics and join the conversations with other graduates, faculty and administrators from various disciplines.    
New registration format will allow you to choose table topic(s) in advance.

5:30 to 6:30pm- Registration and networking
6:30 to 8:30pm- Dinner and discussion

Table 1 - Peeking Behind the Curtain:  Chicago theater behind the scenes
Moderator:  Maren Robinson, University of Chicago Associate Director, MA Program in Humanities.  Marin also teaches dramaturgy and script analysis at a local university and works as a dramaturg for many Chicago theaters.

Table 2 - Tablets, e-book readers, smart phones...  Which do you prefer (or not) to use to access information?
Moderator:  Anita Samen, University of Chicago Press, Managing Director and member of the team that writes and edits The Chicago Manual of Style, which was first published in 1906 and became the first style guide to have an online edition.  Ms. Samen is also part of the team that created the manual's website, Twitter feed and Facebook page.

Table 3 - Living Abroad:  Learn and discuss how to live abroad to study, work, set up a second home, create a business or fulfill that retirement dream.
Moderator:  Geraldine Oberman, University of Chicago Ph.D. '99 Department of Education; long career in education in OH and IL:  classroom teacher, counselor, program evaluator, administrator and Director of Compliance; AAUW - STEM Task Force Liaison; Republic of Panama part time resident.

Moderator: Janet Carl Smith, Former Deputy Director of the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs.

Table 5 - Becoming a Woman Entrepreneur
Moderator:  Teresa Ging, University of Chicago alumna and owner of cake shop Sugar Bliss, Chicago, IL.

Table 6 - Travel: "Best ofs......"
Moderator:  Adrienne B. Naumann, University of Chicago alumna; Attorney who owns her own law firm and is an active equestrian.

Table 7 - Emotional Money:  Managing your portfolio in a volatile market
Moderator:  Elizabeth Jones, University of Chicago alumna; U S Bank Financial Services.
