CWA LA: NOVEMBER BRUNCH DOWNTOWN
Please join us for a fun, informal brunch at the Arts District downtown.
We will be getting together on Sunday, November 11 at 11 am for a fun, informal and self-hosted brunch in the Arts District at Zinc Cafe -- with delicious food and great conversation.
This will our fifth meeting in a series of topic-based brunches. Prior conversations have included an informative and lively talk about the wage gap (and more), as well as a discussion about authenticity in the workplace. This month, we plan to talk about saying no to “drudge work" at the office. Optional advance homework, if desired, is to watch Sheryl Sandberg’s 2010 Ted Talk: “Why We Have Too Few Women Leaders.” It’s the precursor to her book, Lean In, and touches many women-in-the-workplace issues that are still highly relevant today. The link to view can be found here: https://www.ted.com/talks/sheryl_sandberg_why_we_have_too_few_women_leaders?language=en
Note: The topic won’t be strict and side conversations are also welcome -- and encouraged!
