CHARTER Founded in 2006, the University of Chicago, Chicago Women’s Alliance (CWA or Alliance) is an interdisciplinary shared-interest group targeted to women with significant life experience who are alumnae, faculty, administrators, research associates, and other affiliates of the University of Chicago. Its mission is to provide a forum for acquiring knowledge, as well as an opportunity for like-minded University of Chicago women to connect, to investigate and discuss common interests, and to build new relationships. |
PURPOSE To facilitate lifelong learning and foster new relationships among CWA members. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES The University of Chicago, Chicago Women’s Alliance provides a forum for University of Chicago women to investigate and discuss common intellectual interests and facilitates opportunities for developing new relationships by:
LOGISTICS The Alliance presents events throughout the year in each of our major cities. CWA may also cosponsor with other University organizations or departments additional programs, such as lectures, panels, book reviews, and tours.
MEMBERSHIP CWA is open to all alumnae, faculty, administrators, and research associates of the University of Chicago who are interested in affiliating with the Alliance. Membership is free, but events may have a cost. The Chicago Women’s Alliance requests that those interested in becoming a member complete the Profile. (They need to Sign in first.) This assures that they are added to the CWA mailing list and will receive notification of upcoming CWA events. |
